You don’t need a parka to explore the polar regions! Ice Worlds takes you on a tour of frozen vistas throughout our solar system to explore the critical relationship between ice and life. From the icy moons of the outer planets to the recent Phoenix landing on Mars, this show immerses audiences in each landscape to show how ice behaves on very different worlds. Studying our neighbors in space increases our understanding of the natural cycles and human influence on ice, snow and water on our dynamic planet and its ever-changing climate. -Fly a Kite in the Buck Shoals Sky - 3/20/10 at 1-3 pm

-Astronomy Night at Unicoi - 3/20/10 at 7-10 pm
The Atlanta Astronomy Club will conduct a slide show and lecture to help novice star-gazers learn about the winter sky. Weather permitting, we will have telescopes set up to enjoy a "sidewalk stargazing" program. Feel free to bring your own telescope, lawnchairs or blankets, and flashlights with red bulbs. $5 parking.
