Museums of interest abound in the Berkshire region.Just five miles west of Pittsfield you will find the Hancock Shaker Village featuring a 200-year-old Shaker site complete with buildings, artifacts, crafts, gardens and farm animals. In Stockbridge, visit the home of the first missionary to the Native Americans, Reverend Sergeant, circa 1739. The Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge features the largest Rockwell collection in the world.
Performing arts.Tanglewood is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
